BEACH ABODE
FORREST BEACH
Known as the Forrest Beach “Resort” Mr Vince Corbett built several frames out of bush timber along the foredunes and would cover them with tarpaulins renting the humble abodes at 5 shillings (50cents), for the weekend. In 1931, it was announced that the Corbett’s were dismantling all structures and moved the huts to Pallarenda in Townsville.
