TAYLOR’S BEACH
Mr William Henry Taylor, an early pioneer in the area was involved in establishing a road through to Taylor’s Beach. Mr Taylor and Mr C. F. Coar partnered in 1912 to lease Orpheus Island and run 2000 sheep, 500 goats and many pigs. Shearing Sheep, baling wool and shipping it across to Lucinda in his cutter the “Daydream” became a family affair.
