Australian Italian Festival 28 May to 6 June 2021
A regional cultural festival which celebrates authentic Italian culture and food and entertainment. The Italian immigrants had a lasting impact of the cultural landscape of the Herbert River district, now known as the Hinchinbrook Shire. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate the Italian and other diversities of cultures which make our district quite unique.
Ingham’s iconic Italian cultural experience, featuring homemade Italian cuisine, Italian wine, world class entertainment, cooking demonstrations, spaghetti, pizza eating compititions as well as a grape stomping challenge. There is a large variety of food and market stalls at the carnivalle held in TYTO Parklands. Italian history will be on show at the TYTO Gallery as well as on the carnivalle weekend. There are lots of free amusement rides for children, along with entertainment and hands on fun for all the family.
