First 5 Forever in Hinchinbrook Baby Welcoming Ceremony

Join us as we welcome new babies born over the last two years!

Families are invited to attend the upcoming First 5 Forever in Hinchinbrook Baby Welcoming Ceremony on 17 April 2021 from 10am to 1pm at the TYTO Conference and Events Centre.

Join us as we welcome new babies born in our shire over the last two years.

This culturally significant morning showcases all things great in the Hinchinbrook Region, including stories and activities from the First Nations Peoples of the Hinchinbrook Shire.

Thanks to First 5 Forever, Council along with the First Nations Peoples of the Hinchinbrook Region have developed new learning resources for children 0-5 which will be launched at the Baby Welcoming Event.

Each new baby that has arrived in the community over the past twenty-four months will receive a Welcoming Certificate, sapling and gift bag.

Parents can plant their sapling to commemorate their new baby and watch as they both grow, providing for the future prosperity of the Hinchinbrook Shire.

Enjoy a fun filled morning with stories, songs, petting zoo, pony rides, arts and crafts, reptiles and scrumptious food.

Registrations are essential to ensure your child receives a welcome certificate and sapling.  To register please contact Council on 4776 4600.
